It is known that MP3Fiesta has been out of action for a long time. Ignoring customer support emails and failing to sort out their billing system has resulted in rendering their business useless. It was only time before their (free) weekly credit-hand-outs would wear thin.
What happened to AllOfMP3 when it was forced to convert itself to MP3Sparks, due to mounting legal pressure is now happening to MP3Fiesta. With billing disabled and sign-ups redirected to MP3Panda.com, MP3Panda could possibly be the new MP3Fiesta.
MP3Fiesta is a very popular website (ranked 4934 by Alexa) and with popularity comes unwanted interest from music companies and organizations, for example RIAA and IFPI. If anything infringes their business, will do all they can to take you down. Since MP3Fiesta is hosted in a different country taking it to court would be a very tedious and long winded affair, so the other option would be to attack the payment processors. Knocking down the payment processors would make the business useless as customers would be unable to refill their accounts and purchase music. As most credit/debit cards are owned by American firms and most people have one, big corporate bullying from the music organizations would most likely force payment merchants into taking transactions offline. It only takes a matter of time before the domain is blacklisted against all banks. This is what happened to AllOfMP3 and their solution was to simply move to another domain.
MP3Fiesta has not had a good reputation for good business etiquette; stories posted from Aom3.org members give you an idea what it’s like when things go bad when you’re an MP3Fiesta customer. For the past two months the MP3Fiesta financial aspect has been struggling. With very low balances and continuing pressure from IFPI hunters, it has made it impossible for MP3Fiesta to recover from such a dire point in business. Ditching its valuable domain, partners, branding, customer loyalty and taking their internal forum offline to keep matters inside, we will now most likely see the disappearance of a popular drm-free music shop, MP3Fiesta and see how it plans to keep MP3Panda alive through 2009.

While I have a love-hate relationship with MP3Fiesta, they seem to continously pushing the boundry with me. And recently I have decided to temporariliy stop using them altogether and give my money to a different a shop. The lack of support and poor payment method are the main factors for MP3Fiesta losing me as a customer. If you have any problems refilling your account for whatever reason at any shop, be sure to check out this thread at aom3, where members (including myself) have recommended music shops based on their payment method record and it’s a good little find, for people who regularly use these shops.

I needed a change from the usual sluggish-web-based message support system that a lot of music shops offer (no need to mention names) and decided to request my music from MP3sale, as they didn’t initially have what I wanted. Posted on their music request forum and got the answer and the music I wanted within 24 hours. Exactly what customer service should be.
Within this time where anyone can start an online music shop (as long as it is in the right country), it seems basic business practice is being forgotten or simply thrown out the window due to laziness. While customer service maybe the most tedious and demanding area of running a shop, it also your No.1 tool to in getting those 1-time-customers coming back to your site. So I will take this time in saying ‘well-done’ to MP3Sale.

As what could be a new change that all shops might follow, MusicMP3 is the latest sheep, silently converted their prices to Euros a few days ago.
As confirmed by a moderator at Aom3, MusicMP3 didn’t follow MP3Fiesta’s awful decision to also convert users balances as well, keeping it nicely relative with the new change in music prices.

MP3SkyLine has so far, had a calm and solid recovery to near 100% functional service. Reception has been very good and I don’t think MP3SkyLine could ask for anything more. Their free credit give-away to aom3’s mailing list readers was one of the smoothest and most successful give-aways, with a 99% success rate. So its now time to rate MP3SkyLine on their recovery process, do you think MP3SkyLine is stable enough and worth to recommend to a friend or family? Vote here:

As MP3SkyLine continue on their road to full service functionality, they are pulling all the stops along the way to entice people back to buying music from them. It shouldn’t be too hard for MP3SkyLine, as with an impressive music catelogue and well designed music interface, any extras will only further boost their recovery road back to the top.
And one of those extra stops is giving away free music credit. Although details are not yet finalised, it is confirmed that MP3SkyLine will be giving away free music credit to the Aom3 Freebie Mailing List readers.
So make sure your signed up with MP3SkyLine and the Aom3 Freebie Mailing List.

Yes this is a couple of days late, but won’t be long till I am back home and on top of things
It seems as if things are turning up for a few DRM-free music shops. With MP3sale close to 100% restoration, another shop who was once hugely popular among the aom3 community members has come back from the dead. After a very long time of silence and nearly completely out of communication with anyone, MP3SkyLine came out of nowhere on the 1st August to announce on Aom3.org that they are back online.
yes, it’s been a really long time. i am not really sure how many of you will be happy, but i am obliged to make an accouncement: we are fully up.
What does it mean?
You can read the full statement here
It will be the next couple of weeks of how MP3SkyLine handles this, that decides whether they will be trusted again by many of their deserted MP3SkyLine customers. They have started on a good foot, by updating their download software, which gives free movie downloads and a compensation package to their customers. Details are all in the aom3 posted statement.
